With levels of personal and corporate insolvency reaching unprecedented heights, and company directors now potentially personally liable for their companies’ debts, there is a greater need than ever before for practitioners, executives and others advising and assisting on insolvency law to fully understand what the law says, how it works, and who or what is liable in the event of a company becoming insolvent.

This one-day interactive course offers an introductory overview of insolvency law. Delegates will finish the programme with an understanding of such key issues as how the main corporate and personal insolvency procedures work in practice, the difference between receivership and administration, techniques for asset recovery and directors’ personal liability.

Michael Griffiths
Michael Griffiths was formerly Deputy Head of the School of Legal Studies at the University of Wolverhampton. He lectures widely on a range of company law and insolvency issues, and is the author/editor/co-editor of many books and articles in these fields including Loose on the Company Director and Loose on Liquidators.
