Director's briefing programme
A half-day guide for directors on governance, compliance and board effectiveness

Who is this course for?: This is a high level course aimed at directors on the board, both from public and private companies

Level: Senior  Duration: Half day, am  CPD: 3hrs

This half-day session gives directors, senior managers and members of the board an excellent opportunity to discuss their role and legal responsibilities with both their peers and our experts.

The purpose of this practical briefing is to provide new and existing directors with an essential understanding of their role within the company and how they can maximise their effectiveness. The programme considers the board’s role in promoting and deriving value from good governance, the relationship between governance and management and how to get the right mix of people on the board. The course also looks at the legal context within which directors undertake their work, including their statutory duties under the Companies Act and responsibilities with regard to such issues as health and safety and data law.

Are you a new director, company secretary or other board advisor looking for a thorough grounding on directors’ legal duties and liabilities? If so, we recommend our Directors and their Duties course.
